Can I go to a walk in clinic for a possible yeast infection?
Question by Me: Can I go to a walk in clinic for a possible yeast infection?
I have what seems to be a yeast infection but I want to be sure. Can I get treatment from a walk in clinic? Or do they typically not handle female pelvic problems?
I can’t go see a doctor because I have no insurance and I’m not positive that it’s a yeast infection so I want to makw sure it’s not something else.

I work at a walk in clinic where we do pelvic exams. They can diagnose yeast infections, bacterial vaginosis, and trichomonas (if they see it under the microscope). We can also take a sample of cervical mucus and send that to the lab to test for gonorrhea or chlamydia. And if you have any obvious lesions, can test for herpes. We do not do pap smears, prescribe birth control, or do any blood work for stds (like HIV).
