Q&A: whats the diffrence between candida and jock itch if any?
Question by diggerm82: whats the diffrence between candida and jock itch if any?
If you’re a male and have it in the groin area, what do you use that works over the counter or home remedies? Yes, I have gone to the doctor for it last summer. I only get it in the summer hence I live in Arizona where we live in 110 temps and we sweat a lot.

Candidiasis is caused by Candida albicans, a fungal disease more common in females (they proliferate when the vaginal acidity is very low) and jock itch is caused by Trychophyton mentagrophytes that can usually be found in soil/moist things. Just keep the area clean and dry.

Is it possible to have a yeast infection without the itching?
Question by Jess: Is it possible to have a yeast infection without the itching?
Lately I have experienced a lot of white clumpy discharge, and also a strong odor. I have been tested for any possible STD’s and the results were negative. I’m pretty sure it is a yeast infection, but i dont have any itching.

Yes, they can come in all forms. You should look for natural products to deal with them. Prescription drugs don’t get to the root of the problem. They just mask over your symptoms. They may help you to cope with your immediate symptoms, but they don’t correct the long term cause of yeast infections. They can be reoccuring and, if you know that it is not an STD then you need to eat better and drink stuff like cranberry juice and, yes, we all know the secret of yogurts.

How to get rid of a yeast infection naturally while pregnant?
Question by froggie: How to get rid of a yeast infection naturally while pregnant?
I have a yeast infection and pregnant. I want to know if there is a way to get rid of it with out taking medication or medicated cremes. Any suggestions?

Do not use topical creams unless your OB/GYN recommends it. You can call your doctor and ask if AZO for yeast infections is safe. Yeast infections are very common in pregnant women. I would recommend calling your doctor first, and if you can’t get anywhere that way, try the yogurt. Like someone pointed out previously, some doctors recommend inserting a small amount of the live culture yogurt into your vagina. Yes it sounds gross, but it should work. I wouldn’t recommend using a tampon though. If you have an old medicine dropper you could use that. Or the applicator for a yeast infection cream. Good Luck!

Is there a link between candida, hair loss with moderate dandruff?
Question by KFlame: Is there a link between candida, hair loss with moderate dandruff?
I recently found I had candida and cured it but I have male pattern hair loss which I was lead to believe was because of genetics. I found I had candida years after my hair loss started. Now I’m rid of candida my hair seems a bit stronger and doesn’t fall out with the roots and everything still attached. I have moderate dandruff- nothing to be self conscious over but it is there.
Just wondering if there is a link?

Many people feel there is a link between hair loss and candida.
See some of the comments people have made…
“Hypothyroidism frequently accompanies candida overgrowth, and is well known to cause hair loss.”
“Candida can also cause mineral imbalances. A zinc deficiency is also well known to cause hair loss. White marks on the fingernails are often an indication of a possible zinc deficiency.”

I personally went through Candida and once the yeast was out of my system, my hair was much healthier. My naturopath prescribed Biotin for my hair as well.
Hope this helps! That’s great you have gotten rid of your Candida!

Re: Candida – Is it really necessary to switch to white cotton panties if you have a candida problem?
Question by : Re: Candida – Is it really necessary to switch to white cotton panties if you have a candida problem?
Also, how do you get rid of the mold spores that are supposedly in the panties even after you wash them?
Best answer:
Answer by batraylover
They don’t have to be white, but they do have to be cotton. White is recommended so that the panties can be bleached. However, it is not necessary. Wash all of your panties in hot water (which is why cotton is the way to go). If you wear white ones, you should bleach them to get the mold spores off of them. You should never wear panties made of any material other than cotton if you have candida.

Can you see the the difference between genital warts and a yeast infection?
Question by tweetybaby: Can you see the the difference between genital warts and a yeast infection?
How can you tell the difference in symptoms?
Best answer:
Answer by KB
A yeast infection has a white discharge, not white spots. Warts are going to be present on the skin on and around your vulva, and they may not be obvious to you. A yeast infection is internal, with a white discharge, and sometimes itching or burning in your vagina, and around your labia. They are two completely different problems with different symptoms. It can also be likely that you don’t feel or see warts.

Yes, it can definitely affect your chances of getting pregnant. Make sure you go to the Doctors to get rid of it. If you do get pregnant with the infection, there is a HUGE risk of having a miscarriage.
I know because it has happened to me before. The medicine for infections wont allow you to get pregnant but as soon as your off of it, you can try to get pregnant again.
Good Luck!

Q&A: Is it possible to have a yeast infection for years?
Question by : Is it possible to have a yeast infection for years?
I have what I think to be a yeast infection, I have tried both a tablet and a pill taken orally to rid myself of this. It has gotten a lot better, but is still not completely gone. Could this be a really bad yeast infection? Thinking back I remember about two years ago having yeast infection symptoms, and feel I may have been ignoring them for these two years until they got unbearable this year. Is this possible and would it make my yeast infection harder to get rid of?
Best answer:
Answer by Quietscherin
It may be that a yeast infection from before, went away and came back (very simply said). A yeast infection for two years doesn’t seem realistic as the symptoms would have gotten even worse and unbearable, not something you can ignore. It might be that it is a bad yeast infection, see a doctor and he/she can prescribe something stronger.

Q&A: Can you give a yeast infection to a breast fed baby?
Question by : Can you give a yeast infection to a breast fed baby?
My son has had diahrea, it’s weird, it looks like there’s cottage cheese type looking chunks in it. The doc did not actually see his poop. But he tested him for microplasma & rhodavirus, both came back negative. He has no fever. I’m taking him to the doc again today. But I’ve only had 1 yeast infection before, so it’s hard for me to tell if maybe I have one. If I had a yeast infection & my baby gets breast milk, could he get a yeast infection?
Best answer:
Answer by no5no5
That’s what breastmilk bowel movements look like. He’s fine. If you had a yeast infection on your nipples he might get thrush, but it would be in his mouth, not throughout his body. It would look like white spots that would not wipe off.
No worries. 🙂

Has anyone used or know anyone who has used a candida cleanse?
Question by fawnajefferson: Has anyone used or know anyone who has used a candida cleanse?
I bought a candida cleamse want to know were there posititve results/benefits and can give any tips while I am on it.
Best answer:
Answer by Skageet
Your candida cleanse will only be effective if you go on a candida diet at the same time. If you cut out sugar you will starve the candida, making it weak and susceptible to the anti fungal ingredients in the candida cleanse.
If you don’t starve the yeast, the cleanse won’t really have too much of an effect.
