Treating Yeast Infection By Yourself
Almost certainly, you know about yeast infections. They are brought about by Candida Albicans. On the other hand, Candida Albicans are included in the microbes in the body which are typical. They aren’t originally detrimental but for the reason that they tend to overgrow, they overwhelm the good microorganisms that maintain the yeast under control, thus bringing about infection. It has different causes like misuse of antibiotics, hormone problems, poor diet, unhygienic practices, and suppressed immune system, among many others. Even so, yeast infections are curable.
This terribly troublesome condition shows that there is something wrong inside the body. Therefore, treating the symptoms only on the outside and for the time being will never get it cured.
The first step in curing Candida is identifying the root cause. Identify the factors that caused the yeast infection. By doing so, you can zero in on getting rid of them.
Medications like Antifungals, Caprylic (or Undecanoic) Acid, and Colloidal Silver are examples of medications to cure Candida. They are usually taken for months depending on the severity of the infection and in high dosages.
Probiotic supplements are also not a very bad idea. Examples are Acidophilus and Lactobacilus strains and they are good in fighting yeast cells. They can re-establish the sense of balance between bacteria. They also help in the prevention of reoccurrence which is not uncommon. It is handy and can be bought at any supermarket.
Good diet is of the essence in fighting Candida. Since sugar feeds yeast cells, you should adhere to a low sugar and low starch diet. Good outcomes are visible within a span of few weeks. Sticking to this diet along with other treatments, you are on your way to recovery.
Suffice it to say, if you have a weak immune system, you are very much susceptible to catching almost any kind of disease. Thus, combating stress is a good way to give oomph to your resistance against certain infection, particularly Candida, and prevent them from coming back as well. Staying away from smoking and downing of alcohol is a pretty sensible idea.

Probiotics for Treating Yeast Infection
The friendly bacteria that are needed for overall health and wellbeing include Bifidum bacterium and Lactobacillus acidophilus. Such friendly bacteria are said to be very efficient when it comes to curing candidiasis (yeast infection).
They are naturally occurring organisms in yogurt. They are also present in other food stuff, including sour milk, sauerkraut, and pickles, among others. Research has shown that Lactobacillus acidophilus and Bifidum bacterium produce substances that can stop the growth of candida.
You can buy yogurt almost anywhere, but most found in the supermarket don’t have enough of the live cultures needed by the body.
So as to make a difference in the body, the yogurt or other supplements must have at least 1 billion organisms per serving. Additionally, such healthy bacteria must be resistant to bile we have in our bodies. They should be able to attach themselves to the gastrointestinal lining for them to be able to form a colony of good bacteria. You’ll only be wasting time and money if you buy yogurt and the live cultures just pass through the body without disintegrating before it is eliminated by the body.
If you do decide to repopulate good bacteria with yogurt, steer clear of the fancy yogurt. Go for simple plain yogurt with live cultures. Considering bacteria are destroyed by heat, eat it cold. Additionally, see to it that it is fresh as it will usually contain at least 100 million bacteria per gram. Time on the shelf tends to destroy bacteria.
Refrigerated yogurt is ideal since majority of the live cultures will be able to survive. If possible, go for yogurt that is less than a week old. This is the freshest and it usually still has most of the live cultures. The best yogurt are typically found in health stores.

Hygienic Practices To Steer Clear of Candida Yeast Infection
A lot of yeast infection patients are living very uncomfortable lives, and it’s no surprise that a lot of them are always on the lookout for just about anything that will somehow relieve the pain and discomfort that come with Candida.
Prevention is always better than cure, though. If you were health-conscious in the first place, you wouldn’t have been infected.
Among the measures to take in preventing Candida is steering clear of underwear that are made out of synthetic materials such as nylon or polyester. Such materials aren’t very good at absorbing sweat and they tend to hinder airflow, thus causing yeast cells to thrive even more. And in an event you badly need to don pantyhose, pick ones that have a cotton panel for it to absorb moisture as you sweat. And if possible, stay away from panty liners as they are also one of the leading causes for yeast infection. If you really have to, then at least go for breathable ones.
You are also no supposed to wear tight-fitting pants or shorts since they pave way for sweating. Keep in mind that yeasts love damp or moist environment. More to these, if borrowing pieces of clothing from others is your thing, well, you should cut it out as soon as now as it just makes you prone to catching an infection. Also make sure that all the pieces of clothing you are wearing are clean.
As you clean your private parts, make sure that you follow a front-to-back pattern. Otherwise, you’ll just be transferring the bacteria from your anus to your vagina. Avoid using scented sanitary napkins and bubble baths since these products typically contain hash chemicals that might disturb the normal pH balance of your private area. Furthermore, douching is never a good practice as it only cause the vaginal mucous to be dry, thus damaging your inner membrane. Such damages can be a ground for the thriving of yeast infection and it can cause pain and discomfort during sexual intercourse, and also severe itching.
These are just among the basics of hygienic measures you have to practice. Be always conscious with your body and health. Otherwise, it’s you who will be suffering from the dreaded Candida yeast infection anyway.

Is doing a Candida Cleanse safe for you?
Question by Cherrigirl22: Is doing a Candida Cleanse safe for you?
I was just wondering if doing a Candida Cleanse is safe for you because I tried one and I saw a alot of yeast coming out in my stools.

Answer by Springtime!! Woohooo!!
Yes, perfectly safe. EVERYONE should do one at least once a month, and mind you, a yeast infection (systemic) can happen to anyone. Keepproper body ph, like around 7 or 7.5, and this will never be necessary. You can get a kit from a health food store or online that will show you approximately what it is.
There are a variety of ways to raise your ph, the best being through proper diet. Most Americans are very acidic and more susceptible to diseases of many a sort.
Lemon squeezed in water, great starter. Fending off processed foods for a bit and eating raw fruits and veggies help dramatically. If you are looking for speedy recovery, try eating lots of oregano in your food OR you can get oregano oil, withwhich you will notice almost immediate results, though oregano oil tends to be expensive its a good investment. Dont be fooled though by imitations, like the NOW product line, which are all artificial. Try Oreganol, good product.
Good luck!

can you take castor oil while on probiotics?
Question by xxno identityxx: can you take castor oil while on probiotics?
would the castor oil, taking it as a laxative, flush out the good bacteria too though?
oh yh, and can castor oil flush out an overgrowth of yeast- candida?
Best answer:
Answer by Dr. T
Yes, castor oil (taken orally) will flush out the good bacteria simply because it typically causes diarrhea.
Yes, taking probiotics afterward will help to replete the proper flora. I’d advise that you take the probiotics about 2 hours after the castor oil.
No, castor will not have a significant impact on candida (yeast overgrowth) directly. Note that depleting the good bacteria can give the candida a competitive edge, so if there is a candida issue the probiotic is really important.
Final note – occasionally using castor oil to treat constipation is fine. But it’s not a good option for recurring problems.

Q&A: Best affordable brand of yogurt to use for yeast infection?
Question by Kathryn Brooks: Best affordable brand of yogurt to use for yeast infection?
Hi I was wondering what brand of yogurt is good and works for a yeast infection and the best way to insert it into vagina. Should I put it in with fingers? Should I dip a tampon in the yogurt then put it in or could I fill a tampon applicator with yogurt, freeze it, then insert it?
Thanks for all answers.

I wouldn’t use yogurt for yeast infections. Where did you hear that from? My doctor told me drinking cranberry juice is good for the bladder and infections. As home remedy this may be a good choice to go for.
For a more formal and better treatment, you can just go to your local pharmacy and buy an over the counter medicine for yeast infections. Many women have problems like these. So finding these products shouldn’t be difficult. I would ask someone who works their to help you find it.
As someone that has a vagina, I know that douching can cause yeast infections because it kills all the bacteria even the ones that help clean the vagina. It also increases your chances of getting yeast infections. Many doctors would advise you against using a douchebag because it causes a lot of problems such as yeast infections.

Does anyone know of a good, non-antibiotic treatment of Candida?
Question by What?: Does anyone know of a good, non-antibiotic treatment of Candida?
I’m pretty sensitive to them and want to give something else a try. I’ve tried Threelac, but, the side effects were horrid (even in reduced dosage) and I want to know if there’s something else that could help. Thanks.

Do you have an actual Candida infection, ie thrush or a vaginal infection?
C. ablicans is a favorite of cranks. They love to claim people have “candida overgrowth,” a completely fictitious condition they invented to sell supplements and treatments. Real systemic candiasis is a life threatening condition that needs anti-fungals. However, this only happens in individuals that are extremely immune compromised.
For the real C. albicans infections, anti-fungals are just about the only thing that actual works.

Q&A: Is coconut oil good for weight loss and candida?
Question by : Is coconut oil good for weight loss and candida?
anyone actually tried it to lose weight? I heard eating a tablespoon before each meal does good for weight loss and kills off yeast..anyone can vouch for it?
Best answer:
Answer by Marty
Coconut may have beneficial properties, but something that people don’t consider is that even though there are these good properties, oils of any kind are not health food. In order to get that one tablespoon of oil, it requires almost a pound of coconut. That is too much for one time. I do know of some people who have taken the coconut oil three times a day, and now have heart problems as a result of it.
Best method to loose weight is to eat a low fat vegan diet and regular exercise. This is not a quick temporary fix, but if you stick with it, you will be able to maintain the weight loss and a healthy life.

What is a good method of Hydrogen Peroxide treatment in eliminating Candida?
Question by Xanthos: What is a good method of Hydrogen Peroxide treatment in eliminating Candida?
How much should I use, where can I find one that I could use internally? Has anyone had success eliminating Candida using this method? Has anyone tried using Ozone therapy in treatment of systemic candida?
I’ve already done candida protocols in the past. I fully understand the diet and supplements and even some advanced therapy. I just need some more insight into the Hydrogen Peroxide and Ozone treatments if anyone can help? Thanks.

Hydrogen peroxide is not effective against candida. If it were to be inserted into an orifice it would just burn and land you in the E room. If someone has candida, monestat or lotrimin will work if it is not severe.
